Susan Hall's memoir begins and ends on the beautiful rugged Northern California peninsula of Point Reyes where her imagination was first awakened as a child and continues to enthrall viewers with its poetic vision.

River Flowing Home has over 20 full color plates of paintings from Susan's artistic career and over 100 photos and plates of art work and sketches from her life which begins in Point Reyes then New York City where she lived for over 20 years and then back to Point Reyes.  With humor and inspiration she shares with the reader 50 years of life experience as an artist.  Art processes that helped her come to the core of her artistic self are described in detail as well as experiences that contributed to her personal growth.
